Biography
Brodie Higgs studied at one of Australia’s two film schools, Victorian College of the Arts, Australia, where he graduated with cinematography and best film acclaims. “Com(mute)”, a video art piece was exhibited on the Australian Broadcasting Channel (Noise Television) in 2003. “Moving”, a film dedicated to Brodie becoming a serial “soup-van” worker and meeting the inner-city characters of the street, was exhibited in Australia’s only documentary festival (Real Life On Film) in 2004. In 2005 Brodie’s first feature film “High or Dry” was first accepted for the Melbourne International Film Festival with much attention and controversy.

With communication, empathy, and subtlety...I endeavour to capture spontaneity and depth in all scenes, all stories, and in all my subjects. Pushing boundaries, & holding a truly original flair, my interests lie in exploring the spaces & creativity between us all with a sense of charm and humour. Art is there to share...to move...to engage. Captivating in content and often subconscious in message. Awareness of self. Consciousness of others. Communication, in all forms...
Related Employment
Brodie's film making projects have been diverse. He has VJ'ed at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, created a film clip for Sneaky Sound System, and filmed numerous music festivals such as Earthcore 05. He has also produced corporate video's including work for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Rosto Olive Oil (see www.rostogrove.com.au for an excerpt) where the clips played in supermarkets and sales subsequently increased by 250-500%. Wow. What ever the world thrusts at Brodie, he will always rise to the occasion...
